In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hidden promise; butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter there's a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.
There's a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; there's a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.
In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity; in our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity. In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. ~~ words & music by Natalie Sleeth, 1986 United Methodist Hymnal

Quote for the day!
I have started following a sweet lady's blog called http://thoughtsfromovertherainbow.blogspot.com. Her name is Susan. Don't you just love the name of her blog! Check out her "thoughts" about Lent. She has given us a wonderful challenge, that if I know most of us, should be no challenge at all! It made me think of this quote from Norman Vincent Peale we have on our bulletin board at Curves where I work...
Well...I'm a 50 yr. old housewife that works part-time at Curves. I take care of 3 men (1 husband & 2 sons), my mother, a dog and 2 cats. I love to create things! I make jewelry from vintage pieces. I've started scrapbooking and rubber stamping; making cards, etc. I needlepoint, cross-stitch and embrodier but I cringe at the thought of having to use a sewing machine. I love silk flowers no matter what HGTV says about them! I make all my own arrangements and wreaths. I wanted to name my blog Butterfly Creations cause that's what I call my craft projects but someone already had it. I named my blog after my favorite hymn "Hymn of Promise". I read romance novels and am darned proud of it!! I would love to write one! I am definitely a happy ending sort of gal! I love my church. I have taken and taught the Disciple Bible Study program at my church for over 10 years and help arrange flowers for the altar guild. I am also trying to find the time to join the choir again! I love my Lord and am praying for our country.
