Hymn of Promise

In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hidden promise; butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter there's a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

There's a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; there's a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity; in our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity. In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. ~~ words & music by Natalie Sleeth, 1986 United Methodist Hymnal

  13. Your decorations are soooo pretty. I went through a lot of your beautiful blog. Saw a wonderful pineapple cake recipe, saw that gorgeous table you painted, I painted roses on furniture and sold it in the malls for a few years when the roses were the rage. I also read about your anniversay ring and about your little sister. I hope you will visit me again, I know I will be back to see you. I loved reading your blog.

  14. Oh Laura you will be doing links in no time. Here is how I do it. Start a new post. Write your entry add pictures etc. Say you mention Chari's gorgeous mantel she decorates so beautifully. Go to her blog (you can pick out the specific post you would like to show or just her general blog address - http://happytodesign.blogspot.com/) you would highlight Chari then right at the top center of the post box there is a link button- click on that then right click and paste the link - push save and "Chari' will have a link. I am terrible with directions so if you need more clarification just email me and we'll get it working!
