This is my first time to join Marty @ http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ for her wonderful cloche parties! I don't have a real cloche! I don't know where you ladies are getting yours but I've only seen a couple around here and they're expensive! But I'm gonna get in on the fun anyway! Marty is such a sweet lady and has the best blog! Be sure and go over to see everyone elses fantabulous cloches! (After you've looked over mine! of course!)
Now this is actually a covered serving dish I got at Marshall's. But I had such fun making
little Christmas vignettes under it!
This one's sort of hard to see. A golden rocking reindeer sitting on a bed of Christmas greenery!
A vintage snowman, trees and a couple of old Japan bunny figurines!
A vintage snowman, trees and a couple of old Japan bunny figurines!
I also used the tip I got from Mary at Mary's Meanderings about using Epsom salt instead of the fake snow!
I changed the snowman out for a couple of miniature wooden santas!
This is an adorable little elf ornament I got last year at Hobby Lobby!
A silver glittered tree and one of the miniature santas. Can you see he's holding a bunny!
The one on the left is actually a music box! (I got my DH's nose in the picture!)
And the one on the right is actually a tree ornament!
Well, Thanks for stopping by and checking out my pretend cloche's! Don't forget to go over to Marty's to see many more!
Laura Lu, your blog looks so festive and pretty, and your cloches are beautiful. That vintage snowman is sooo cute, and I love that stemmed cloche. laurie

ReplyDeleteIt is supposed to get to 5 below tonight- never got past 30 today- BRRRR!
Laura--I love the one with the snow and trees. That is a great tip about the epsom salt for snow! My bird is a "Ross" bird--I am a Kroger girl. I just run into Schnucks for quick things. I definitley think yours qualify as cloches! I found mine at Tues. Morning (on sale) and saw some at good prices at Old Time Pottery. ps--love that reindeer!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura Lu! Did I tell you how much I love your silver Christmas tree with Santa in a heavy coat? I think that is my favorite although I love them all. I woul dlike to invite you to also see my tablescape (post before the cloche party). I think it is my favorite among all my tablescapes and I want to know what you think b/c I love your taste. Thanks....Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, What a wonderful blog!!!! It is a blessing to come here and read wonderful Truth!
ReplyDeleteYour cloches are lovely. I am especially taken with the snow in each cloche. It adds a magical feel. The santa is beautiful, all creamy and holding that dear bunny. Wonderful and crative!
God bless you, right back at you!

Your Christmas cloche vignettes are fabulous. I love the one with the snowman & bunny the best. And I love, love, love, the music box one and the ornament one.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a beautiful job on your cloche displays. Isn't this so much fun! I just loved seeing what you did.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteEverything looks positively beautiful. I love your beautiful cloches. I love your snowman, as I collect and love snowmen. I live in Phoenix, and as we get no snow here, I find myself drawn to them. However I sure do love your Santa's also. They look old and antiqued.
Lovin the bottle brush trees, and that little rocking reindeer is darling. So unique.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cloche ideas with me today.
I have signed up to follow your blog. I can't wait to see what you share next.
Please stop by and let me share my cloche ideas with you. I would also be so honored if you signed up to follow my blog as well.

Lauralu, the stemmed cloche is just gorgeous. I have one of those too and I couldn't come up with anything as wonderful as your displays. I love the reindeer and the santas are just wonderful. The idea of the epsom salt is such a great idea. Your musci box and christmas ornament are both just stunning. I think you did a beautiful job. I will have to borrow some of your ideas for the stemmed cloche. Thanks so much for joining the party. This is so much fun. Hugs, Marty
